The Basil restaurant in Mount Pleasant was the first of five Basil restaurants designed by Neil Stevenson Architects.

Mount Pleasant location was a new build in Mount Pleasant, SC.  It started as a 3,500 square-foot restaurant and blossomed into a 7,800 square-foot bar restaurant and outdoor dining experience. NSA later went on to design the Basil restaurants in North Charleston, Columbia, Greenville, and Charlotte as well as the Munkle Brewery on upper Meeting Street in Charleston's pan handle, which is also owned by the same client.
