The first 17 rooms of the Restoration On King St., Hotel were originally designed as high end condominiums to be sold so that one could live above the shops on King St.
However, towards the end of the renovation, the US suffered a mortgage meltdown crisis which suddenly dried up all funds for anybody to purchase condominiums or housing.
Some quick thinking convinced us to re-zone the property and convert the 17 rooms into a hotel which was later awarded one of the top rated hotels in the country. We were later hired to design a new 5 story hotel, and renovate the historical three-story brick building which ultimately connected seven separate buildings into one hotel establishment. The top floor of the new building includes a rooftop bar and restaurant with magnificent views from the center of the city.
