The Basil restaurant in Mount Pleasant was the first of five Basil restaurants designed by Neil Stevenson Architects.
Mount Pleasant location was a new build, which started as a 3500 square-foot restaurant and blossomed into a 7800 square-foot bar restaurant and outdoor dining experience. NSA later went on to design the Basil restaurants in North Charleston, Columbia, Greenville, and Charlotte.
